About this Event
After a spectacular summer of football in North America, the VHEC is proud to bring experts to Vancouver for a discussion on the complex intersection of football, Holocaust history and the persistent challenge of inclusion in global sports. Our speakers will trace the evolution of discrimination from the experiences of Jews during the Holocaust to the contemporary digital and physical arenas of international football.
Is Holocaust education and remembrance in sports making an impact? How can we champion inclusion and human rights in sports and in our society?
The evening will feature a special introduction by the Vancouver Whitecaps, followed by an engaging discussion with our expert speakers. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served starting at 5:15pm.
Join us on October 27 for an evening of reflection, conversation and a celebration of the role sport can play in advancing inclusion and human rights.
Please note: The specific location of the event will be provided by email after registration.
