Soar into STEM These Holidays with Squadrone!
This school holiday, give your child the chance to explore the skies with Squadrone’s exciting Drone Club: Holiday Program, a full-day workshop designed especially for primary school students.
Running from 9:00 AM to 3:15 PM (8:30 AM drop-off, 3:15 PM pick-up), each session blends creativity, hands-on learning, and real drone technology to spark curiosity and build tech confidence.
This event includes the program:
Drone Building | Build, understand, fly and keep. Students in groups will assemble a training drone model, explore each component and how it works, and learn the basic physics of drone flight, with hands-on flying using a remote control. (Drones will be kept by the kids; all tools and materials provided.)
Each session ends with a mini drone light show by Squadrone. A spectacular showcase of what drones can really do!
Whether your child is curious about tech or just looking for a unique way to spend the holidays, Squadrone’s program promises a day of discovery, creativity, and sky-high fun.

- Time: 9:00 AM to 3:15 PM (8:30 AM drop off starts, 3:15 PM pick up time)
- Location: The Refectory inside the University of Western Australia, we will share the exact details on how to get there after registration.

This event is subject to minimum attendee numbers. In the rare case we must cancel, all ticket holders will be notified and offered a refund or reschedule.
Assembly Area & Drop-Off Information
From 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM, participants will gather at Oak Lawn, located in front of the Refectory at UWA.

Parking Details
Parking fee is not included in the enrolment fee. Parents may park along Hackett Drive. If you're parking for long, standard parking rates will apply. Kindly use Easy Park app to make parking payments.
Running Late?
If you're running late for drop-off, please send us a quick message or call our team at 0433 570 041 so we know to expect you. A staff member will meet your child at the assembly point indicated above and guide them to the group safely. We’ll do our best to catch them up without disrupting the session.

Inside a Drone: Components & Function
Info: Explore each part of a drone from motors and propellers to frames and flight controllers, and understand how they work together.
Build Your Own Training Drone
Info: Using real tools and materials, students will assemble a working drone model while applying what they’ve learned.
Take Flight: Manual Drone Flying
Info: Grab the remote and fly a real drone in a supervised session, putting theory into practice!
Squadrone Showcase: Mini Drone Light Show
