Our 9th annual, formal dinner, commemorating the arrival of HMS Pickle at a British port. The topsail schooner carried the official dispatches regarding the Battle of Trafalgar and the death of Lord Nelson.The dinner consists of a sumptuous three course meal created by Port Credit Yacht Club's chef and his brigade.
* Hors d'oeuvre: Deep-fried Pickles
* First course: Cream of Watercress
* Main course: Chicken Montmorency, pan roasted chicken supreme stuffed with dried cherries, apricots, pine nuts and fresh herbs, spun Yukon Gold potato, fresh vegetables and a Grand Marnier jus
Vegetarian option: Eggplant parmigiana
* Dessert course: Spotted Dick steamed pudding
* Tea and coffee service
Many naval toasts and speeches are made during the evening.
Dress code: Napoleonic military or civilian attire, mess or service uniform for active or retired Canadian armed forces personnel or civilian business attire.
$90 per person including taxes and tip. Please e-transfer the funds to [email protected] by October 30th, stating your choice of main course and of any food allergies.
Beverages are payable at the bar by credit card only.
A silent auction of donated items will take place, as a fundraiser for the maintenance and improvement of the Society's longboat.
