About this Event
Violinist Hiu Sing Fan is the Meadowmount School of Music's 2026 Gurrena Fellowship recipient. The Hong Kong violinist ranked among the top six at both the 2025 Premio Paganini International Violin Competition in Genoa, Italy, and the 2024 George Enescu International Violin Competition in Bucharest, Romania. He is also the Second Prize and Audience Choice Award winner of the 2025 Dallas International Violin Competition. Hiu Sing Fan is joined by pianist Cameron Akioka in a program of works by Schumann, Messiaen, Stravinsky, Milstein, and Sarasate.
Awarded by Meadowmount, the Gurrena Fellowship supports and encourages exceptionally talented students and recent alums to become abundantly successful in their professional journey. This generous fellowship of $50,000 provides resources and opportunities, and enables its recipients to continue to pursue their careers with vigor and passion.
