Join us for a special Leica.Connect experience on Saturday, December 12, 2026, from 12:00–4:00 p.m., celebrating Leica’s historical impact on the photographic world with LHSA President Emeritus and Viewfinder Magazine Editor Bill Rosauer.
This community event offers opportunities for the camera community to share their stories about their favorite images and historic cameras. All participants are encouraged to bring cameras from decades past to share in the history that has made modern photography.
Guest speaker LHSA President Emeritus and Viewfinder Magazine Editor Bill Rosauer shares his personal journey through Leica and how each generation changed the landscape of photography. Sharing stories from Leica’s history that shaped the design of our most iconic series. The afternoon also includes a photo walk with Bill leading a group through the historic city center of Boston and visiting destinations with iconic photos from history.

Join us for the future: Bill returns the next day with Leica Store Boston to explore the future of camera design and some of his latest revelations with the M-EV1. Also hear about our upcoming Leica Destination Wetzlar Akademie course with Bill coming in 2027.
About Bill
Bill has been associated with Leica for many years, first as an enthusiastic Leica user/collector and then as a stand-alone Leica dealer. Bill is a graduate of three Leica Akademies and has achieved the distinction of Leica Master. Bill has traveled to Wetzlar many times over the past 50 years. In addition to being President Emeritus of the LHSA and the Editor of its quarterly journal the Viewfinder since the year 2000, Bill has served as a special product consultant to Leica over the past twenty years. He conceived and guided the execution of the highly successful LHSA Special Edition cameras and lenses. These are the Black Paint M6; the Hammertone MP with retro 35 Summicron; the MP3 camera in Black Paint and Chrome finish along with its special retro design Summilux 50/1.4 ASPH lens, and most recently the Special Edition Classic APO Summicron-M 50/2 ASPH lens.
