About this Event
There is no place on earth quite like the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood of San Francisco.
Known as the birthplace of the Summer of Love and forever affiliated with the resulting counterculture, the Haight was a refuge for hippies, runaways, and LGBTQ+ folks.
It is also the place where hundreds of murders have taken place- over 150 in 1968 alone.
Let me show you one of the most haunted places on Earth- while providing the real life crime stories that made it that way.
We'll begin our time together at the entrance of Buena Vista Park- where the pavement is tombstones repurposed from the relocation of cemetery plots. Did you know that in 1900 the City outlawed new burials? While MOST of the bodies were moved, the process wasn't exactly pretty.
You can't make this stuff up!
We'll also visit the Hell's Angels House, the Red House where Jimi Hendrix once lived, the Grateful Dead House, and one of Janis Joplin's former residences.
Did you know that Charles Manson and Jim Jones also lived in the Haight?
Yes, I will certainly point out their former residences as well!
A perfect blend of history, spookiness, combined with an insider's look into a classic era, this is a San Francisco experience you won't want to miss!
We'll end our time near the entrance of Golden Gate Park, next to Lake Alvord... where the body of 66 year old Stephen Williams was found floating in May 2016!
But not before I tell you about the most iconic serial killer in San Francisco... who was never caught!
Whether you're a true crime buff, a flower child, or just enjoy a good ghost story, you'll want to join the next Hippie Haight and True Crime Experience.
We'll end right at the perfect time for you to go back and explore some of the spooky places I pointed out... if you dare!
