About this Event
Join us for a bluegrass jam at the Hillside Club! For November, the jam theme will be “Cabins, Shacks and Mansions.” We encourage you to call songs with the jam theme (interpret the theme as you like - huts, condos, ADU’s anyone?). And of course all other bluegrass tunes are welcome as well.
The jam is free, and there are three rooms for jamming. If there is interest, the slow jam will be in the green room (by the stage). BYOB (beer and wine allowed; please no hard alcohol or spirits).
This is an appoximately-monthly event. Check the Hillside Club website for future dates, or send us a message through eventbrite to join our email list.
A word about song selection: We encourage folks to choose songs from the bluegrass canon. If you decide not to, it’s best to choose a song that has no more than 4 chords (to avoid jam busters), and be prepared to take a moment to briefly teach the song if necessary.
This jam is in Berkeley, near Oakland, in the East Bay of the San Francisco Bay Area. Join us!
