Our next Hiking with Buds adventure is taking us to Greenbush Recreation Area! We're heading out to explore the winding forest trails, tackle some rolling hills, and soak up what's left of fall before winter rolls in. Grab your warm layers and come get a little dirt on your boots with us!

A Little About Greenbush:
- Part of the Kettle Moraine State Forest, shaped by glaciers thousands of years ago
- A network of wooded hiking trails winding through hills, hollows, and classic Wisconsin scenery
What to Expect:
- Forest trails with rolling hills, uneven ground, and some challenging terrain
- Natural trail surfaces that may be muddy, slippery, or covered in fallen leaves
- A good mix of movement, conversation, and time to enjoy the outdoors
What to Bring:
- Water or a warm drink in a travel mug
- Comfortable hiking shoes with good traction
- Warm layers, gloves, and a hat
- A light snack or some trail mix
- Tissues (cold-weather noses are no joke 😅)
- A pop of bright color or blaze orange for visibility
Bringing Your Pup?
Leashed dogs are welcome on most hiking trails! Please keep them on a physical leash no longer than 8 feet and bring waste bags. Just remember that some trails have seasonal restrictions, especially when they're being used for cross-country skiing.
A Few Reminders:
- Alcohol-free event
- Waiver required (we'll have it ready)
- Carpooling encouraged! Reach out if you need a ride or have room for another bud
- Leave no trace: pack it in, pack it out
November is a great excuse to slow down, bundle up, and enjoy some time outside before winter takes over. Grab your hiking buds and come hit the trails with us!
