Everything You Need to Know Before Your First Trail!New to hiking or want to feel more confident exploring local trails? Hiking 101, in partnership with REI, is an introductory workshop for adults focused on hiking preparation, safety, practical skills, and trail etiquette.
Through interactive activities, hands-on gear demonstrations, and outdoor skills practice, participants will learn how to choose a trail, prepare for a hike, pack the essentials, navigate safely, and respond to common situations they may encounter outdoors.
The free workshop covers a variety of topics to help you prepare for the trail, from essential gear and navigation to safety and emergency preparedness.
