About this Event
The most collectible wines in the world share a few things: extreme terroir, producers working against the grain, and a moment in time before everyone else catches on. Vermont has all three.
We're tasting through a focused selection of bottles from the producers defining what American cold-climate wine can be. These are wines with genuine aging potential, a sense of place rooted in 500-million-year-old Iapetus Ocean geology, and a production philosophy that has more in common with the Republic or Georgia or the Jura than anything you'd expect from New England.
We'll get into the specifics: soil and microclimate, what makes Vermont's hybrid and ancient varieties behave differently from their European counterparts, and why the collectors paying attention right now are early.
If you've already got natural wine in your cellar and you're wondering what's next — this is the conversation to join.
Class includes 3 tasting pours. Attendees receive 10% off shopping after class.
