HIBIKI means “resonance,” and on Tuesday, November 17, the alley at Domo is going to ring with it. We’re keeping the lights low and the volume up for a late-night set of retro J-Pop and City Pop from Masumi & The Mystery Monkeys.
Think 80s Tokyo night drives, funk guitar, and soul vocals, played live on East 6th.

The band
MMM is a borderless retro J-Pop trio: funk guitarist Fumihito Sugawara (Hiroshima), soul singer and bassist Mas Kuge (Fukuoka), and jazz drummer Masumi Jones (Hiroshima). For HIBIKI, they’re joined by guest singer Kyuko Naydeck (Nagoya) and jazz pianist João Camargo (São Paulo).
