Join us as we unearth information about some favorite medicinal roots and celebrate the ritual of the change of seasons. You will get to experience different preparations to best experience these root medicines. The roots that deeply anchor plants are rich with medicinal attributes. We will discuss the plants best used as root medicine and all the ways they nourish and support the body and encourage grounding energy through the seasonal changes. We will also experience the hands-on making of medicinal extracts, including tinctures and vinegar.
Herbalism classes taught through the Ely Folk School are led by instructors who have sought out training or education about herbal medicine and are not intended to replace care from medical professionals.
