With ‘De Val’, Hendrik Lasure (schntzl, Bombataz) presents a new collection of wondrous songs that hover between dream and reality. Whereas his 2022 debut ‘Het Wiel’ looked back on his childhood, he now explores themes such as connection, longing and melancholy.
Live, Lasure brings the musicians from the album onto the stage: Meskerem Mees, Jolan Decaesteker, Aya Suzuki and Sep François, amongst others, bring to life his unique universe of poetic lyrics, subtle arrangements and spellbinding melodies. Cabaret for the 21st century.
Don’t expect a traditional singer-songwriter evening, but rather a concert that transports you to magical-realist landscapes where castles, moats and purple evening skies coexist effortlessly.
Lasure has quickly established himself as one of the most distinctive voices on the Flemish music scene.
