SKURREAL presents: Helicon + Harvey Rushmore & The Octopus+++ HELICON +++
Helicon from Glasgow, UK, ARE MASSIVE! Known for their intense live shows, their sound blends psychedelia, electronica, guitars and sitars with a spirit of counter-cultural experimentation. Adored by psych lovers all over the world, the septet built a strong reputation in the scene, especially since signing to Fuzz Club in 2017. Examples are features on BBC Radio 6, performances at festivals like Fuzz Club Eindhoven, Liverpool International Festival of Psychedelia or Manchester Psych Fest, collab works with for example Will Carruthers (Spacemen 3 / The Brian Jonestown Massacre/ Spiritualized), Mark Gardener (Ride) and recently with LA-producer Al Lover. Now they head to Munich for their first show ever!

Harvey Rushmore & the Octopus from Basel, Switzerland, are explosive and energetic, hypnotically blending garage, surf, krautrock & psych rock elements. They've played over 400 shows across Europe and released their 4th studio album in March 2026 which was inspired by old horror films & B-movies, AI dystopias, and the collapse of reality - and of course Neo Psych bands such as the Black Angels, Wooden Shjips or Moon Duo.
The expectations they have of themselves: "To create something that is open to randomness and improvisation, something that can't be forced into a mold."

[DE] Harvey Rushmore & the Octopus aus Basel in der Schweiz sind explosiv und energiegeladen. Sie fusionieren auf hypnotische Weise Elemente von Garage, Surf, Krautrock und Psych Rock. Nach über 400 Konzerten in ganz Europa sind sie ins Studio zurückgekehrt und präsentieren uns live ihr neuestes Werk "Mindsuckers", das von alten Horrorfilmen und B-Movies, KI-Dystopien und dem Zusammenbruch der Realität inspiriert wurde – und natürlich von Neo-Psych-Bands wie den Black Angels, Wooden Shjips oder Moon Duo.
Die Erwartungen, die sie an sich selbst haben: „Etwas zu schaffen, das offen ist für Zufälligkeit und Improvisation, etwas, das sich nicht in eine Form pressen lässt.“
