🟧 {HU} A japán heavenphetamine már több ízben járt Magyarországon. Koncertjeik igen meggyőzőek, energikusságuk sok rajongót szerzett maguknak itthon is. Hiroki Oda (billentyűs/ének) és Sara Oda (dob/ének) duója a krautrock, a pszichedélia, a szintipop, a post-punk, az indie rock és az acid house elemeit keveri, mindezt egy letagadhatatlanul "japános ízzel". A rockos hangvételű dobolás mellé loopereket, szintetizátorokat és egyéb elektronikus hangszereket használnak, és persze lehengerlő energiával énekelnek, amitől az elektronikus zenei megszólalás egy nyers, punkos attitűddel társul.A páros 2021-ben hagyta el szülővárosát, Tokiót, azóta rengeteget turnézik Európában, több mint száz koncertet adtak a legkülönfélébb helyszíneken, a squat-októl kezdve az olyan nagy fesztiválokig, mint a Tallinn Music Week, Fusion Festival és a Trans Musicales. Rendszeresen fellépnek a háború sújtotta ukrán városokban és helyi zenészekkel készítenek felvételeket.
Első nagylemezük „The Sun on a Winter Day” címmel tavaly augusztusban jelent meg az ukrán Kontrabass kiadó gondozásában, ezt 2026-ban újra kiadta lemezen a párizsi székhelyű Macadam Mambo kiadó.
🟧 {ENG} heavenphetamine is a duo from Japan composed of Hiroki Oda (keyboard/vocals) and Sara Oda (drums/vocals). Their idiosyncratic style is a blend of elements from krautrock, psychedelia, synthesizer music, postpunk, indie rock, and acid house, with a subtle Japanese flavor. The band synchronizes acoustic drums with electronic sequences created through synthesizers and loop pedals, without the use of a metronome, which results in electro-influenced compositions that still retain an organic and punky edge, accompanied by melodic Japanese vocals.
The couple left their hometown Tokyo in 2021 and have been touring Europe extensively ever since. So far they have played more than 200 shows in 37 countries, bringing their music to all kinds of venues, from squats to major festivals such as Tallinn Music Week, Trans Musicales and Fusion Festival, and performing regularly in the war-torn cities of Ukraine and recording with local musicians. Their first full-length album ‘The Sun on a Winter Day’, recorded in Kyiv amidts air raids and blackouts, was published in August 2024 by the Ukrainian label Kontrabass, and issued on vinyl by the Paris-based label Macadam Mambo in 2026.
