Company E makes its Boston debut with HEART STILL BEATING — an evening of contemporary dance and live electric cello featuring cellist and composer Brianna Tam.Presented by Sofar Sounds, HEART STILL BEATING brings Company E’s dancers into direct conversation with Tam’s extraordinary live sound world, created through electric cello and loop station.
Here, the music isn’t simply accompaniment — it is a moving partner. Sound builds, repeats, shifts and transforms as the dancers respond, creating an experience in which movement and music continually reshape one another. Company_E_HEART_STILL_BEATING_B…
At the center of the evening is Brianna Tam, Company E’s 2026–27 Artist-in-Residence. An electric cellist and composer known for immersive, emotionally charged performances, Tam has appeared at TEDx and the USA Pavilion at Expo 2025 in Japan and was selected as a Top Shelf artist in NPR’s 2023 Tiny Desk Contest.
