Bridging the gap between corporates and small businesses - How to collaborate across the supply chain
Overview
Heart of the City is pleased to partner with Fleet Street Quarter to deliver a 90‑minute interactive workshop during London Climate Action Week, focused on relationship‑building between SMEs and large corporates.
The session will convene 20–30 participants from a mix of SMEs and larger organisations operating in and around the Fleet Street Quarter. The workshop will explore the business case for responsible business, the importance of collaboration, and how open, practical conversations across the supply chain can unlock progress on sustainability and social impact.
This will be a participatory session that combines insight sharing with structured discussion, designed to create meaningful connections and leave attendees with tangible ideas they can act on.
Aims of the Workshop
- To demonstrate the commercial and strategic value of responsible business practices, particularly within supply chains
- To create a safe, structured space for open dialogue between SMEs and large corporates
- To build understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by suppliers and buyers
- To encourage collaborative approaches to sustainability, beyond compliance and reporting requirements
- To strengthen relationships within the Fleet Street Quarter business community
Intended Outcomes
By the end of the session, participants will:
- Have a clearer understanding of why supply chain responsibility matters, from both an SME and corporate perspective
- Gain insight into real‑world examples of responsible procurement and collaboration
