Healthy Ageing: It’s Everyone’s Business
Making healthy ageing the heart of health, care, civic and economic strategy
Norfolk has one of the oldest population profiles in the country. As our health, care and local government systems undergo significant change, there is a major opportunity to rethink how we help people live longer, healthier and more independent lives.
Healthy Ageing: It’s Everyone’s Business brings together leaders, commissioners and influencers from health, social care, local government, academia, the VCSE and wider community to explore what needs to change, and how prevention and healthy ageing can become part of the way we plan, commission and deliver services.
Hosted by Dame Jenny Abramsky, Chancellor of the University of East Anglia, the afternoon will feature contributions from prominant experts involved in healthy ageing, including Yvonne Doyle CB (WHO), Sir Muir Gray CBE (NHS Live Longer Better), Dr. Nicola Hancock (UEA), Paul Farmer (Age UK), and Dame Clare Moriarty (Citizens Advice) followed by a a panel Q&A.
There will be a plenary zone pre/post the event for networking and the opportunity to explore examples of community-based prevention already being delivered across Norfolk.
