Healing Our Communities: Family Violence Prevention Symposium is a community-centered gathering presented by the Black Women’s Health Alliance of Philadelphia, focused on advancing community-driven solutions to strengthen families and help prevent violence.
Join us on Saturday, September 26 from 1:00–5:00 PM at OIC Philadelphia, 1231 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19122, for an afternoon of meaningful conversation, practical resources, and connection.
The symposium will feature a keynote address by Dr. Kyle Morris, CEO of Eco-Foundation, along with a panel discussion featuring Dr. Jonathan Wilson of Fathership Foundation, Mecca Robinson, CEO of Forget Me Not Children and Youth Services, Kameenah Bronzell, Founder of Philly Angelsss, Carmella Bond Jackson, MBA, LPC, and moderated by Parent Advisory Committee member George Walley-Sephes. Additionally, we will welcome our special guest speaker, Imanie Badie, AA/AS.
Attendees will have an opportunity to hear diverse perspectives on strengthening families, supporting healthier communities, and addressing family violence through prevention, awareness, and collective action.
The afternoon will also include resource tables and light refreshments, creating space for participants to connect with organizations, information, and one another.
