About this Event
Overview
The HBMBA team is looking forward to hosting our last official Community Dig Day of the season at Christie Lake. Participants will head to the singletrack to work on trail maintenance. Afterwards, join our trail directors for a group ride on the singletrack, followed by a BBQ.
Who Can Join Us
No experience is required and all HBMBA members are welcome. Non-members may attend one trail build day, but must become a member in order to attend additional build days due to the HBMBA’s insurance and liability policy.
Participants must be 18+. If you have younger family members keen to join us, please reach out to [email protected] and we will do our best to accommodate.
Meeting Place
Mountain bike parking lot at Christie Lake Conservation Authority (the west-most parking lot, follow signage).
Accessing Christie Lake Conservation Authority
If you are an HBMBA member attending a dig day at Christie Lake and you don't have an HCA pass, you may access the park for free on the Dig Day. At the front gate, show staff proof of HBMBA membership and your Dig Day Registration.
What to Bring
It is recommended that you wear sturdy shoes (steel toe is ideal, but not necessary) and work/gardening gloves. Sunglasses or safety glasses are also recommended.
Bring snacks, water, insect repellant and an extra layer(s). Be prepared to carry your gear out on the trail with you.
All tools will be provided by HBMBA.
