The Shawangunk Mountains provide a perfect vantage point to watch the fall migration of hawks, vultures, and other birds of prey. Join a Mohonk Preserve educator for an early morning hike to an overlook, where you will look for raptors riding the thermals! This hike is about 2 miles round-trip, including a short climb up a steep rock scramble. Participants should be prepared for steep and uneven rocky terrain in relatively dim light.
The fee for this program includes access to the Preserve. Space is limited, and registration is required. Registration closes at 12 pm on Thursday, October 8.
