About this Event
Our Highly Anticipated Halloween Event Returns for Two Days!
The Radix Haunted Farm of (UN)Sustainable Nightmares Eco-Horror Experience is an all-ages event co-created and run by Radix's EcoJustice Associate Youths that utilizes largely compostable props made of recovered materials and renewable-powered lighting. Low- and high-scare options available (earlier is less scary, later and darker is scarier.)
Last fall over 200 community members came out to get some scares across our acre of urban farmland. There's a suggested donation of $5-$20 for entry and, along with the bake sale we've added this year, all proceeds go towards helping our Youth Program get a passenger van to expand their reach across Albany, whether that's collecting wild seeds on hiking trips or doing garden cleanups at the public schools we work with.
The Haunted Farm will be in action on Saturday, October 24th and Friday, October 30th from 5-9 p.m.* @ShantiPayne will be joining us for free face-painting starting at 5 p.m. and we'll have a roaring fire, fresh popped popcorn, apple cider, and lawn games to keep ya'll busy.
~ Costumes are encouraged ~
~ No one will be turned away for lack of funds ~
~ Those under 16 should be accompanied by an adult ~
*We will have a break in tours from 7pm-7:30pm to give our youth staff a chance to reset.
