Free, but booking is essential. Have you ever wondered:
What is an archive?
How do I use an archive?
What does working in an archive involve?
What is in the Hatton Gallery archive?
Join Hatton Gallery’s Exhibitions Officer behind the scenes in the Hatton Gallery Archive to find out the answers to these questions. Whether you’d like to do some research in an archive, but aren’t sure how to go about it, or you’re thinking about a career working in archives, this session will provide hints and tips to help you on your research journey.
The session is open to everyone, and would particularly benefit students from any academic institution who would like to learn more about using or working in an archive.
The session is free, but please let us know if you’re unable to attend, as your place can be offered to someone on the waiting list.
Please note, food and drink are not allowed in the archive.
If you can, please consider purchasing a donation ticket or leaving a donation when you book today. We rely on the generosity of our visitors to help us keep art and heritage at the heart of the North East. Thank you.
