About this Event
Dance and Craft with MOYO at Harvest Share @ Harvest Share 2026!
Come join us on Sat, Sep 19, 2026 at 1900 E. 30th Ave & Madame CJ Walker Park for a day filled with rhythmic beats, free produce, and community connection.
The body remembers what the mind has forgotten. This is true whether you're moving to a rhythm passed down for generations, or shaping raw material with your own two hands. Both are forms of listening. Both bring you back to yourself.
This Harvest Share Festival, we're honored to offer you two such paths — right alongside each other, under the open sky at Madam CJ Walker Park.
🧵 Leather Belt Crafting Workshop — 1:00–3:00 PM
Alongside the dance, Alberto Espinosa of Parati Leather Goods will guide you through designing and making your own leather belt from start to finish.
🥁 Orisha Dance for Shango — 2:00 PM
Join Yuni Ramos, MOYO's 2027 Artist in Residence and a direct lineage-holder of Los Muñequitos de Matanza, for a Cuban Folkloric Dance workshop honoring Shango — the Orisha of thunder, fire, and righteous strength — through the Lucumí tradition.
We can't wait to see you at the Harvest Share Festival!
These free community workshops were made possible by funding from the Colordao Health Foundation and Black Resilience in Colorado (BRIC) Fund.
