Area 9 Saxophone Quartet presents a program celebrating the breadth of the Western classical tradition through the unique voice of the saxophone. Audiences will experience music spanning multiple centuries, from elegant transcriptions of Baroque works to vibrant contemporary compositions written for saxophone quartet. Blending familiar sounds with fresh discoveries, the program offers an engaging look at the rich colors and expressive possibilities of the ensemble.
