*Facilitator Update* -- Join AWHI co-owner and lead facilitator Kathleen Kuehn for a fun, interactive weekend intensive on the art of delivering and receiving assists! These are not 'adjustments', nor 'corrections' -- but assists designed to enhance our students' practice.
The course will cover consent protocols, the three types of assists (verbal, energetic, and mechanical touch), safe and trauma-aware assist delivery, and inclusive touch practices. There will be extensive hands-on practice time with peer feedback.
IT WILL ALSO BE A LOT OF FUN!
Who is this course for:
Certified Yoga Teachers looking to deepen their knowledge, understanding and competency in providing verbal and manual assists in order to add depth and connection in your teachings.
Yoga practitioners (non-teachers) are equally welcome to learn more about how to receive these assists, what they do and how they can be used to teach you more about your own practice.
This course can be taken as an elective towards AWHI's 300hr Vinyasa YTT certification and/or as 15 hours Continuing Education Credits with Yoga Alliance.
The course can also be taken for the purpose of professional development with some level of yoga teacher training - please get in touch if you'd like to discuss!
