Discover the surprisingly satisfying art of making paper by hand during this beginner-friendly Papermaking Workshop with Sharon Brower at Seaside Shoppes in Jacksonville Beach.
In this hands-on creative class, Sharon will introduce you to the traditional papermaking process and guide you step-by-step as you transform paper fibers into beautiful handmade sheets of your own. You'll learn the basics of forming paper while having the opportunity to experiment, get creative, and discover just how much personality can go into something as simple as a sheet of paper.
No previous experience is necessary. This workshop is designed especially for beginners who want to try something different, learn a new artistic technique, and enjoy a relaxing afternoon of creativity.
Each participant will create three sheets of handmade paper to take home. Your paper will still be wet at the end of the workshop, and Sharon will provide guidance on drying and finishing your pieces at home.
