Slow down and reconnect with the calming rhythm of clay.Step into the beautiful, meditative process of slow clay in this relaxed hand built ceramics workshop and join us for a few hours of creativity, connection and mindful making.
These days prioritising creativity over our to-do lists can almost feel like a selfish act. This class invites you to reclaim a little time for yourself and experience the simple joy of working with clay.
Whether you have dabbled in pottery before or this is your very first ceramics class, our experienced ceramic instructor Katie will gently guide you through the basic hand building techniques used to create your own ceramic mug.
You will learn how to shape, join and decorate clay while enjoying the freedom of guided free play, giving you the opportunity to explore your own ideas and create additional pieces if inspiration strikes.
By the end of the workshop you will have crafted a beautiful handmade mug that you can sip your morning coffee from for years to come and any additional pieces you make to match.
Pieces are made using stoneware clay, ensuring strength and durability for daily use. Your pieces will be microwave and dishwasher safe.

Tips for working confidently with clay
Guided free play to create additional pieces
No previous pottery experience is required. This workshop is perfect for beginners and creative explorers alike.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE WORKSHOP
All pieces will be slow dried to minimise the risk of breakage, glazed with our signature house white glaze, and fired twice in the kiln to ensure durability.
Your finished pottery will be returned to the studio ready for collection once the firing process is complete.
Please allow up to 6 weeks for glazing and firing. We will contact you as soon as your pieces are ready to collect.
Clay and glaze colours may vary depending on availability.
