Spend a relaxing afternoon exploring colour, light and transparency in this beautiful still life watercolour workshop with experienced artist and tutor Judy Salleh.Inspired by colourful glass bottles, glassware and fresh fruit, you’ll learn how to capture the way light moves through transparent objects and create that gorgeous luminous quality that makes watercolour such a magical medium to work with.
Choose from a selection of colourful bottles, glassware and reference photographs to create your own unique still life composition. Judy will guide you through the process, sharing techniques for working wet-into-wet, layering transparent colour, preserving areas of light and allowing pigments to flow and blend naturally across the paper.
Rather than trying to control every brushstroke, you’ll be encouraged to experiment and enjoy the wonderfully unpredictable nature of watercolour. Watch colours meet, mingle and create beautiful effects that are often impossible to achieve with any other painting medium.

As this is an open age class - children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a participating adult.
No previous experience required – perfect for beginners
