🎃 Lights, Camera, Pumpkins! — Homeschool FridaysTurn a trip to the pumpkin patch into a hands-on filmmaking adventure!
Join Six Pixels Film & STEM Academy for a special Homeschool Pumpkin Patch & Movie Studio Experience, where students will explore photography, filmmaking, stop-motion animation, and green-screen effects—all with a fun fall twist.
Young filmmakers will rotate through creative activities including pumpkin patch photography; creating a fall-themed stop-motion animation; stepping behind the camera to film a short scene; and experiencing the magic of green-screen filmmaking.
Students will have plenty of opportunities to act, direct, operate cameras, and work together while building storytelling and media-production skills.
And, of course, it wouldn't be a pumpkin patch without pumpkins! 🎃 Students can take photos in our indoor pumpkin patch and choose a pumpkin to take home at the end of their experience.
Perfect for homeschool students ages 6–14.
No filmmaking experience necessary.
Young filmmakers will rotate through creative movie-making stations, including:
📸 Pumpkin Patch Photography — Learn to frame wide, medium, and close-up shots while capturing great fall photos.
🎤 Pumpkin Patch Newsroom — Lights, camera, breaking news! Students become anchors, reporters, camera operators, and directors to create their own fun fall news broadcast.
🎃 Stop-Motion Animation — Bring pumpkins, LEGO characters, and fall props to life one frame at a time.
👻 Green-Screen Movie Magic — Step in front of the green screen and discover how filmmakers transport actors into imaginative worlds.
🎬 Fall Movie Challenge — Work as a team to act, direct, and operate the camera while creating a short fall-themed scene.
🎃 Indoor Pumpkin Patch — Take plenty of photos in our fall movie set and choose a pumpkin to take home at the end of the experience!
