How to Survive Samhain and Have a Very Happy Halloween!Mischief is afoot at the end of October! Whether you celebrate Samhain, Hallowtide or even Crack Nut Night, join folklorist and author Liza Frank as she returns to Worthing Waterstones to impart tricks on how to survive being cursed by witches and spooked by spirits and offer treats with a few folkloric foods. Not to mention there will be divinations to swoon over and maybe even the odd ghoulish game...While audience participation is not expected, it will be encouraged! Dressing for the season optional, but desired.Liza Frank is an author and folklorist. Her latest book Household Lore, Folklore Traditions and Remedies for Every Room in Your Home was published in 2025 (Watkins), and Everyday Folklore: An almanac for the ritual year was published in 2023 (Murdoch Books). She has written extensively about myth and folklore and spent a year living by the rules of folklore for The Everyday Lore Project.
