Set amidst the rich colours and seasonal beauty of Hainault Forest, this autumn photowalk is designed for beginner to intermediate nature photographers looking to develop their woodland photography skills. Combining creative exploration with practical guidance, the experience offers a relaxed and supportive environment in which to refine your technique, build confidence behind the camera, and capture the striking textures, tones, and atmosphere of the woodland in autumn.
Guided by landscape photographer Lee Cooper, you'll learn how to make the most of natural light filtering through the forest canopy, woodland textures, and seasonal colour to create compelling images. With access to Sigma lenses, you'll have the opportunity to experiment with different focal lengths and compositions while receiving expert guidance throughout the walk. Expect a mindful and inspiring experience that encourages careful observation, thoughtful framing, and a deeper connection to both the landscape and your photography.
The photowalk will begin in the early morning to take advantage of the beautiful sunrise light, with Lee on hand to help you create strong and engaging compositions. From there, the group will explore Hainault Forest’s woodland trails, open glades, and scenic viewpoints, pausing whenever inspiration strikes before making a gentle return to the starting point.
