About this Event
The duration of this guided walk could last between one and a half and two hours.
Join David Carey (coordinator of the Kent Tree and Pond Partnership) and the Friends of Old Park and Chequer's Wood for a guided tree walk through one of Canterbury’s remarkable Old Park.
Explore a rich mosaic of ancient woodland and wet alder woodland, scrub, ponds and rare acid grassland, and discover the trees, wildlife and stories that make Old Park such a historically significant and special landscape for nature and people.
Please note: Defined but some sloping, uneven and potentially muddy ground mean this may be unsuitable for those with reduced mobility.
Meet at the junction between Dickens Avenue, Shelley Avenue and the public footpath leading up to Reed Pond. w3w///wings.wool.fuzzy
