Hayk Balasanyan was born in Armenia. Started dancing at age 9. Was Champion of the Caucasus countries, Champion of Armenia, was a finalist of Armenian Dancing With The Star. After serving in the army, he came to America in 2010 with an invitation to teach in one of the Fred Astaire Dance Studios in New York. Hayk Balasanyan and Emilia Poghosyan have been dancing together since 2010, and they have won many titles, including US National Professional Rising Star Latin Champions, 5-time Fred Astaire World Champions, 6-time National Champions, Fred Astaire Regional Champions, and 6 Times Cross Country Champions, Fred Astaire 2 Times Show Dance Champions and US National Show Dance Vice Champions, Winners of Latin Star Tour.
