Guelph Comedy Festival is our city's annual celebration of the comedic arts and the craft behind them (including stand-up, improv, and story-telling).With six incredible shows over the course of three days - October 15th to 17th - this year’s festival features homegrown talent and comedy performances from all of Canada’s major festivals including Just for Laughs, Toronto Sketch Fest, and Winnipeg Improv Festival.
The festival opens on Thursday, October 15th with a community showcase. Performers from GCVI’s improv team, The Community of Hearts Improv Club, and local comedian Dan Latner will grace the stage on the first night of the festival. The festival is also hosting a family friendly improv show “Li’l Local Legends” on Saturday at 11am, which promises to be fun for the whole family.
The full schedule features a variety of fabulous local and Canadian stand-up comedians and improvisers, including Instagram-favourite Jacob Balshin, and Roast Battle’s Bren D’Souza. Local Favourite Scared Scriptless will also be running a “Festival Edition” of the show featuring Tricia Black, Ken Hall, and Brandon Hackett- among others.
