About this Event
Fresh herbs can be grown in garden beds, raised beds, or small containers—and you do not need a large yard to enjoy them.
In this beginner-friendly class, we will explore how to grow useful and flavorful herbs in West Central Florida. Participants will learn:
• Which culinary herbs grow well in our climate
• How to choose the right location and container
• Seasonal considerations for common herbs
• How to plant herbs from seeds, plugs, or transplants
• Watering and fertilizing basics
• How pruning and harvesting can encourage continued growth
• Tips for using and preserving your harvest
We will also discuss how herbs can support pollinators and add fragrance, texture, and beauty to your garden.
