GROOVIN FACTORY

After years dedicated to jazz, composition and collaborations with some of the most acclaimed musicians on the European scene, trombonist and composer Georgi Kornazov presents his new original project - GROOVIN FACTORY. 🎶🎺
A graduate with honours from the Paris Conservatory and based in Paris for more than three decades, Kornazov has developed a distinctive musical language at the meeting point of Bulgarian sensibility and contemporary European jazz. Over the years, he has worked with artists including Quincy Jones, Carla Bley, Maria Schneider, Al Jarreau and Kenny Wheeler. In 2023, he received the Crystal Lyre Award for Jazz and the Special Audience Award.
On 2 October, joined by four exceptional musicians, Kornazov creates a musical space where jazz, funk, groove and contemporary improvisation come together in a natural and inspiring way.
At the heart of GROOVIN FACTORY is an entirely new repertoire of original compositions - music with irresistible rhythmic drive, rich harmonies, lyrical melodies and room for improvisation. At times charged with infectious energy, at others more intimate and contemplative, it always carries Kornazov’s distinctive musical signature.
