COME PICK UP THE MISSING PIECES WITH US!Let’s bring wonder back into our lives, rewilding – it’s our time. Explore, be inspired, find enrichment together – take a walk on the wild side! In this innovative weekend set in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside, we’ll look backwards and forwards in a friendly and safe gathering. Starting with rewilding ourselves and our outlook, invigorating our spirits and enjoying time together, our weekend will enrich us to return refreshed ready to engage with Rewilding where we live. It’ll be light, bright and full of meaning.
Sophie will join us by zoom on the Friday evening for a short introduction to her ideas. On the Saturday morning, Sophie Yeo – our special guest speaker and award-winning writer, will talk about the deep history of Nature, and the lessons that we can learn from the past when it comes to rewilding, restoring and farming and, what it means to forge a connection to our surroundings at a time when religious and folk beliefs are waning. This talk will be pre-recorded by Sophie, exclusively given for this event as she is unable to be with us in person.
Over the course of the weekend we will have a chance to connect with each other and the natural world with ritual, meditation, discussion, creativity, informal conversations and more. We will make our own entertainment on the Saturday evening with our wild talents released!
The weekend will start with the evening meal on the Friday and will end after lunch on the Sunday. We will have our (optional) AGM for part of the Sunday morning. All food during the weekend will be vegetarian. Vegan or other diets for medical reasons can be catered for.
Everyone is very welcome to this event, our gatherings are a mixture of old friends and new and we look forward to meeting you.
