About this Event
This interactive session is designed for community leaders, volunteers, active residents and VCS organisations working in North Paddington and across Westminster.
Together, we'll explore how everyday choices around what we eat and what we buy use and dispose of, affect household budgets, health, wellbeing and local environment. You'll gain practical tools to support residents in making simple, sustainable changes from eating locally and seasonally to reducing food waste, recycling effectively and reusing everyday items.
Expect an interactive session with real-life scenarios, hands-on learning and space to share ideas and challenges, followeed by a free networking lunch.
What you'll gain:
- Confidence and knowledge to discuss healthy eating, food waste, recycling, and low-waste behaviours in ways that are relatable and practical
- Ability to connect residents with local services, support, and initiatives, including food programmes, cost-saving tools, and recycling services
- Insights into leading or supporting community-led action, from food sharing and local growing to reuse and repair projects, strengthening local connections and resilience
Whether you're already active in the community or just starting, this session will help you recognise and grow your role as a key messenger, connector and leader of community action across the City.
Delivered in partnership
This session will be co-delivered with Public Health practitioners and Veolia's ECO Team.
