About this Event

are hosting a fun and hopeful event with speeches and discussions before we officially hand-in of our flagship petition at 10, Downing Street!

Launched in 2019 and now supported by nearly 30,000 people, our long-standing petition represents our collective call to integrate climate and nature education across the UK curriculum.

This will be a powerful day of action and we hope you will join us for our ‘Teach-in’ style event. This will be a fun and exciting event of speeches and discussions in Parliament Square (yes, we'll be outdoors), leading up to the official petition hand-in in the afternoon*. We’ll celebrate the progress made so far, reflect on the current political landscape around environmental issues, and look ahead to the future.

Our event is youth-led and we will be joined by students, educators, campaingers, representatives from supporting organisations and politicians.

Expect:
  • Inspiring speakers, including Dominque Palmer, James Miller, Scarlett Westbrook and Tori Tsui
  • Thought-provoking conversations
  • The chance to connect with fellow activists and decision-makers as our campaign reaches this important milestone!

As it currently stands with government education reform, we have a unique opportunity to ensure all young people - regardless of background, skills or interests - are empowered to make a positive impact on the climate and nature crises. So don’t miss out on this opportunity to be part of a landmark moment in the fight for climate and nature education!

Together, we will keep up the pressure, and we hope to see you there to join us at this pivotal moment of our journey!

*Registration for this event is just for the Teach-in and not the petition hand-in which has limited space. Attendees are welcome to join us at the entrance to Downing Street at 2:30pm to support communications but you will not be able to go into Downing Street for the hand-in.
