About this Event
This interactive session is designed for community leaders, active residents, volunteers and VCS organisations working in North Paddington and across Westminster.
We'll explore how our neighbourhood environments (from how we move to how we protect nature) affect everyday health, wellbeing, safety and community connection.
You'll gain practical tools to support residents in ways that meet their priorities (cost savings, health, safety, convenience, and pride in place) whilst also benefitting the environment.
What to expect:
- Scenario based discussions to practice talking about walking, cycling, wheeling, cleaner air, and greener neighbourhoods in ways that resonate with residents
- Guidance on connecting residents to local services, resources, and partners
- Space to co-create small, achievable community-led actions that enhance safety, inclusivity and local participation
- Opportunities to share ideas, learn from others and strengthen your role as a trusted messenger, connector, and collective action leader
- A free networking lunch to continue the conversation and make new connections
You'll
- Build confidence to discuss active travel and greening in simple, relatable ways
- Learn how to support safe, inclusive and diverse participation in local initiatives
- Explore how small, community led projects can strengthen health, wellbeing, safety and neighbourhood pride
- Understand your role in promoting action that benefits both people and planet
Delivered in partnership
This session will be co‑delivered by Westminster City Council teams (transport, air quality and greening) and London National Park City.
