About this Event
The class will start at 8AM and end at 4:30PM. The course will be offered in-person at the Bert J. Harris Agricultural Center Conference Room 2 (enter through the main office doors) in Sebring, FL.
The green industry best management practice (GI-BMP) training and certification is mandatory for all commercial fertilizer applicators, per Florida law (s. 482.1562, F.S.) This course is ideal for people involved in green industries (landscaping, lawn care, and residential pest control). This class provides useful information on best management practices (BMPs), environmentally responsible landscaping practices and methods to protect and responsibly use Florida's water.
At the end of the class, a post-test will be taken to obtain your GIBMP certification.
Up to four (4) Continuing Education Units will be available in the following categories: General Standard Core, Private Applicator, Ornamental & Turf, Limited Urban Fertilizer, Limited Commercial Landscape Maintenance, Limited Lawn and Ornamental, and Commercial Lawn and Ornamental.

The registration fee of $30.00 (plus $3.85 Eventbrite fee) will include light refreshments, lunch, and class materials. Please pre-register through Eventbrite by September 15. The registration fee after September 15 or if paying at the door will be $40.00 (plus $4.52 Eventbrite fee). There will be no refunds for the registration fee.
