About this Event
This is a 60-minute, immersive sound experience centered around a 36” gong - an instrument most people have never encountered at this scale. The gong is so much more than just the big “bong” sound you might imagine. It’s a vast field of vibration: waves, overtones, silences, drones and sudden openings that move through the body as much as the ears.
As a professional musician, I approach this as a deep listening ritual. A space where sound supports rest, release, and nervous system recalibration. The gong can be gentle and grounding, or intense and expansive. Often it is all of these within the same session.
What to expect - You’ll be lying down, allowing the sound to wash through you. Attendees have reported experiencing deep relaxation, others vivid imagery, emotional release, or clarity.
What to bring
We have a decent amount of mats, blankets and blosters free to borrow in the space, you might consider bringing:
Yoga mat (a thick one, or perhaps two - it is the only thing between your body and a hardwood floor for an hour. Extra mats, blankets and bolsters are available also)
Optional: pillow, blanket, eye mask or cover
Wear comfortable clothing
*Due to the nature of the offering, once the event has started, we will lock the doors to maintain the container for the participants. Please arrive on or before time. We don't want you to miss it!
