From Robert Christgau's latest Consumers Guide:
"Masterminded by Tin Huey original Harvey Gold on guitar and keyboards, with drums, bass and cello adding detail, and avant hero Zorn having long since gotten his brain into the swirling melodies that Gold thought worth capitalizing on. Not that he can expect to get rich off this brainstorm, but he certainly deserve to make a modest profit. The music doesn't rock, but it does move on its own textural potential. Moreover, it has its own sound, even its own tunes, you could call them. And thus it proves to be the kind of album you put on just because you feel like hearing it again."
