About this Event
From the filmmaker behind SQUIRM (1976) and BLUE SUNSHINE (1977) comes the criminally obscure REMOTE CONTROL. When a local video store receives a VHS tape of a popular 1950s science fiction film, rental clerk Cosmo realizes that the video is brainwashing his customers and causing them to commit ghastly murders. Convinced that the video is created by aliens hell-bent on destroying the earth, Cosmo and his friends must uncover the conspiracy behind this videotape before it's too late. Starring Kevin Dillon and Jennifer Tilly, REMOTE CONTROL is a unique and subversive tale about the dangers of abject media consumption and its effects on society. Offbeat yet provocative. The way only writer and director Jeff Lieberman can be.
Presented on VHS and projected on a vintage EIKI LC-330 Video Projector.
