Golden Gorilla is the fastest growing English comedy group composed of mainly Vietnamese people in Hanoi, and many people have been messaging our fanpage, demanding an entry into the glamorous world of standup comedy.So here it is, back by popular demand, Golden Gorilla’s once a month open mic, at Underground 88, 88 Yen Phu.
Ground rules are very simple: you come on Friday the 9th of October, register with the host, the stage is yours for 5-10 mins( it’s Vietnam, time is an abstract concept), and you can say whatever you want, as long as it doesn’t get us arrested. Doesn’t matter if you are funny now, with enough practice one day you will be.
So once again, come to the stand up open mic at Underground 88, 88 Yen Phu, at 8:30( it will probably start at 8:45, let’s be honest) Friday the 9th of October, tell some jokes, fuck around, drink some craft beer or cocktails, and help us build something from the ground up.
