Walk • Reflect • Connect
Life can be busy, noisy and full of distractions.
Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is slow down, step into nature and give ourselves permission to simply be.
Walk • Reflect • Connect is a series of guided wellness walks around the Gold Coast, designed to help you reconnect—with nature, with others and with yourself.
Each walk explores one of the Gold Coast's beautiful natural places before we pause for an optional tea or coffee and a gentle Compass Check.
A Compass Check is a short guided reflection inspired by the place we're in. It's an opportunity to slow down, notice the world around you and check in with yourself. There are no right or wrong answers, no pressure to share and nothing to achieve. It's simply a chance to reset your inner compass before continuing your journey.
Every walk is different. So is every Compass Check.
Our hope is that you'll leave feeling calmer, inspired and with a fresh perspective. Or perhaps you'll simply leave having enjoyed a beautiful walk, meaningful conversation and the company of wonderful people—maybe even having made a new friend.
Whatever you take away, you've given yourself the gift of intentional time.
What to Expect
🥾 A relaxed, guided social walk through one of the Gold Coast's beautiful natural spaces. (The walk location will always be listed in the event title and booking page.)
☕ An optional tea or coffee stop at a local café.
🧭 A guided Compass Check—a five to ten-minute reflective experience designed to help you pause, breathe and reconnect.
💬 Optional conversation and sharing in a warm, welcoming and supportive environment.
😊 A relaxed walk back, often with lighter hearts, fresh perspectives and new friendships.
🧭 Compass Checks
Every Compass Check explores a different wellbeing theme, such as:
- Curiosity
- Gratitude
- Courage
- Connection
- Letting Go
- New Beginnings
- Joy
- Presence
- Self-Compassion
- Wonder
- Adventure
- Purpose
Some weeks your Compass Check may simply be a quiet moment of reflection. Other weeks, you might be invited to take part in a small symbolic experience inspired by nature or the day's theme. Participation is always optional, and you're welcome to engage in whatever way feels comfortable for you.
Part of the joy is discovering what each week's Compass Check has in store.

You don't need any experience with mindfulness or personal development—just a willingness to enjoy nature at a relaxed pace.
Whether you come on your own or with friends, you'll be warmly welcomed.

Please Note
Participants attend at their own risk and are responsible for their own health, fitness and wellbeing.
Walks are conducted at a relaxed, social pace and are designed to be enjoyable, inclusive and restorative rather than competitive.

🧭 A Thought to Leave You With
Just as we check a compass before setting off on a journey, it's worth taking a few moments every now and then to check our own direction.
Sometimes we don't need to change the destination.
We simply need to pause, reconnect and continue with intention.
Meet Your Host
Hi, I'm Sharon.
I'm a Gold Coast local, Travel Confidence Coach, speaker, tour operator and lifelong traveller who believes some of life's greatest lessons are found in nature.
For many years I've been helping people reconnect with themselves through intentional experiences. Whether that's travelling the world, exploring a local walking trail or simply taking time to pause, reflect and breathe, I believe every journey has the power to change us.
Walk • Reflect • Connect was created to bring together my love of nature, meaningful conversations and the simple joy of slowing down.
I'd love for you to join me on the journey.
