✨ GLOW RIDE 2026 - LIGHT UP NORWICH! ✨
Get your lights and your cycles ready! On Thursday 22nd October, Norwich is joining cycling communities across the country for Glow Ride 2026! 🚲🚲🚲✨
The Glow Ride is part of a national campaign by Cycling UK highlighting women's experiences of cycling and the barriers that can make them feel unsafe or unwelcome on our streets, especially after dark.
📍 Start: Outside City Hall, Norwich
⏰ Meet: From 6 pm
🎤 Speeches and ride briefing: 6.30 pm
🚲 Ride start: 6.45 pm
🎶 Finish and afterparty: 7.30 pm at St Saviours Yard
The ride is open to everyone. Children (and pets!) are encouraged and must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
All types of cycles, including adapted bikes, tricycles, unicycles, e-bikes and cargo bikes, are more than welcome.
Starting outside City Hall, the ride will take around 45 minutes through the city centre, arriving at St Saviours Yard (Magdalen St) around 7.30 pm for the Glow Ride afterparty! A number of wonderful vendors will be open and waiting for us to arrive, including SØD Bakery for moreish sweet treats, Mouneh Kitchen for delicious rice bowls, Sir Toby's Beers for cold beverages and The Merchant's Hut for hot. There’ll also be music and Outspoken! Cycles will be bringing their bike smoothie maker, so make sure to stick around for good tunes and good company.

Ride essentials:
Bring your cycle, lights and anything else you want to make your ride glow! The more illuminated cycles on the streets, the more striking the ride will be as we make our way through the city centre together.
Guided by an experienced ride leader and supported by marshals, we'll keep the pace of the ride relaxed and keep together as a group.
Please be aware that photography will take place before and during the ride.
The ride is planned to go ahead in most weather conditions, so please come prepared. If it’s wet, bring a waterproof jacket and consider wearing waterproof trousers or other clothing that will keep you comfortable. In colder weather, dress in warm layers, and make sure your lights and any other equipment are suitable for the conditions.
We may need to cancel or postpone the ride if conditions make it unsafe to ride. Any decision to cancel or postpone will be communicated as soon as possible through our Facebook event page, Cycling UK registration page and social media channels, so please make to RSVP, register and/or follow:
