A német indie-pop csapat október közepén jelenteti meg új nagylemezét If Heaven Exists, This Might Be It címmel, a lemezbemutató turnéval pedig hozzánk is elhozzák legújabb dalaikat, február 21-én, az Akvárium Klubba.
Ez a Giant Rooks harmadik nagylemezének kiindulópontja is, amely If Heaven Exists, This Might Be It címmel jelenik meg október 16-án.
A lemez világába a korábban megjelent dalok a The Future Is Cancelled, a Want It Back, a The Waves és a Slow Dance (For A Minute) nyújtanak betekintést. Az If Heaven Exists, This Might Be It alapvető nézőpontváltást javasol az előző lemezekhez képest: ezúttal nem a Föld felett lebegünk - amit a ROOKERY albumborítója is sugallt -, hanem együtt vagyunk itt, ebben a pillanatban.

Heaven can be a matter of perspective – Giant Rooks return with a new album.
Following their sold-out show at Dürer Kert and their performance on the Sziget Main Stage, Giant Rooks are returning to Budapest. The German indie-pop band will release their new album, If Heaven Exists, This Might Be It, in mid-October, and will bring their latest songs to the Akvárium Klub on 21 February as part of the album tour.
Perhaps heaven is not some distant, unattainable place, but simply a different way of looking at what is already with us: all the people we love, those who cross our paths and then disappear from our lives again. The losses, the loneliness, the hope, the dreams and the nostalgia. This is also the starting point for Giant Rooks’ third album, If Heaven Exists, This Might Be It, which will be released on 16 October. The album’s 12 songs revolve around the longing for connection in a deeply manipulative world burdened by alienation and inner conflict. Amid transience, memory and confusion, the band turns towards the things that deserve to be cherished: love and friendship. Through their distinctive indie-pop sound, Giant Rooks explore and celebrate the heavenly within the earthly.
“We have been together as a band for more than 10 years. Working on this album was the most difficult thing we have ever done. We started in early 2025, and from the beginning, we tried to free ourselves from any external expectations and simply make music that feels completely authentic to us,” the band shared about the new release.
Previously released songs such as The Future Is Cancelled, Want It Back, The Waves and Slow Dance (For A Minute) offer a glimpse into the album’s world. They explore melancholy and new beginnings, memories suddenly resurfacing, and the impossible desire to preserve a single moment forever. These four tracks alone hint at the album’s musical breadth: delicate piano passages, compelling guitar chords, energetic drums and hypnotic layers of synths create an immersive atmosphere throughout. If Heaven Exists, This Might Be It proposes a fundamental shift in perspective compared with the band’s earlier work: this time, we are not floating above the earth - as the cover of ROOKERY suggested -but here together, in this moment. And perhaps that is already the most wondrous thing there is.
And how wonderful it would be to experience all this at a concert, singing along to the band’s songs together. For example, on 21 February at Akvárium Klub. Tickets go on sale on 9 October at 11 a.m. via www.livenation.hu and www.funcode.hu.
