On stage:
💡 Hussein Hallak is the author of the Amazon bestseller, The Dark Art of Life Mastery, and a serial entrepreneur with two exits and 22 businesses built across Damascus, Dubai and Vancouver. His first tech company was acqui-hired by Spacetoon, the Disney of the Middle East. He co-founded CreativeArab, the world's first and largest online marketplace of Middle Eastern art, built award-winning creative agencies, and led product, sales and strategy teams serving brands like P&G, Unilever, Universal and Disney. He was General Manager and Head Mentor of Launch Academy, Vancouver's largest startup hub, whose 6,500+ founders have gone on to raise over $2.5 billion. He spent two seasons on the tech panel of Our City with Kirk LaPointe on RoundHouse Radio, and was tech lead on MBC's No. 1 morning show, watched by 40 million viewers. Today he is founder and CEO of Next Decentrum and editor of The Streetlight on Substack.
💡 Mike Nabavi, six-time founder. He sold his first company, started in university, after growing it past 35 people. He drafted the business plan behind Guest-Tek's TSX IPO, consulted at Deloitte, ran a tech startup for a decade before exiting, and has since backed numerous startups. His payments venture LavaPay had a pipeline nearing $9M a month when its banks shut it down, which led to Omnieon, infrastructure for federated finance. Today he works as an interim or fractional executive for early-stage and owner-operated companies. Ask Mike anything, including what he got wrong.
Who should come: founders looking to raise, investors looking for deal flow, and operators and creators building in Vancouver.
